Blacksmith Ignite the Forge puts the player in the role of a blacksmith, managing a workshop with several rooms. The complex includes mines for mining minerals, a production area and a room for preparing squads for battle. The main gameplay consists of making weapons, supplying mercenaries with them and sending groups on missions. Resources obtained during campaigns are used to improve the forge, which creates a closed production cycle.
 
The process of creating items in Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge begins with the gamer collecting metal ore in the mines. The obtained materials are smelted into alloys with unique characteristics. Forging itself is presented in the form of a special game mechanic, where hammer blows give the workpiece a shape, and the accuracy of actions directly affects the final quality of the blade. In addition, runes are applied to finished products, which give them enhancements that change their purpose in battles.
 
To use the created equipment, a squad of fighters is formed from available adventurers. Each mercenary has special combat skills and basic parameters, so it is necessary to select for them those types of weapons that will increase their effectiveness. After sending, the group enters into battle with opponents in the auto-battler mode, which is why preparation for the sortie becomes a key element of interaction.
