DAIMON BLADES sends players on expeditions across a chaotic dimension, where they assume the role of warrior monks from the Cult of Secret. These raids, available for solo players or cooperative squads of up to four players, are designed to contain daemonic forces. The central mission is to track down the Hermit, a mentor who betrayed the order. The player must descend into the depths of this world to find the arch-traitor and interrupt his soul-devouring ritual before it is completed.
The game features character customization, resource gathering, and item crafting. DAIMON BLADES gameplay centers on daemon-possessed weapons, infused with an entity with a unique set of attributes and abilities. These living weapons absorb the blood of slain enemies to strengthen themselves and unlock new abilities during their raids. Between raids, their power can be permanently increased in the Forge, providing deeper development and increasing the chances of survival.
Blades are more than just instruments of destruction, as they wield a pernicious influence that their wielders should not underestimate. The narrative serves as a prelude to the events of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, taking place two millennia beforehand and detailing the birth of the Order of the Secret through sacrifice and bloodshed. Expeditions take place across nine procedurally generated biomes, offering unique levels with each playthrough.
