Of Ash and Steel is an adventure RPG developed by Fire & Frost, featuring a gripping 45+ hour story set on a vibrant open-world island. You play as Tristan, a cartographer destined for greatness, who must master a complex combat system built on stamina management, precise timing, and three distinct fighting stances with multiple weapons. The game doesn't hold your hand there's no marker system, so you'll have to listen carefully to NPCs, read books and notes, and rely on exploration to progress through quests and uncover secrets. Choose from two main factions, each offering unique storylines, quests, and exclusive rewards that impact the world and how characters treat you.

Combat encourages you to develop your own fighting style, whether it's a nimble rapier-wielding duelist or a heavily armored knight, supported by active skills and environmental tactics. Beyond combat, you can master various professions, such as fishing, hunting, blacksmithing including custom sword forging, and alchemy in various biomes.
