The Gold River Project is a large-scale survival experiment set on a vast private preserve in the Pacific Northwest. Unsuspecting tourists arriving for a vacation suddenly find themselves trapped within an artificially created ecosystem. The entire isolated area is divided by massive electrified walls, and a sinister organization watches their every move. With the arrival of autumn and winter, conditions become increasingly unbearable, and familiar biomes shift, bringing new dangers in the form of predators and resource scarcity. What begins as a serene hike turns into a desperate struggle for freedom, whether solo or in a group of four.

Exploring the vast environments involves not only hiking remote trails but also kayaking across lakes. The Gold River Project offers a non-linear experience, allowing you to choose your own style. Participants can stealthily infiltrate underground structures to disable barriers or fight their way through militarized outposts, opening the way to the next zone. Successfully confronting the environment requires a comprehensive approach.
