Above the Snow is a story-driven management simulator that puts you in charge of an alpine resort with a team of eccentric employees, each with their own secrets and motives. Set against the backdrop of a harsh winter, you'll face fierce competition, demanding guests, pesky journalists, and a looming avalanche, all while trying to turn the resort into the region's premier mountain resort. The game combines hotel management and route design you'll furnish your hotel, manage equipment and staff morale, and then create alpine routes tailored to your guests' abilities, avoiding dangers, and guiding climbers to peaks and landmarks. Gameplay includes over 20 hours of character driven storytelling that explores themes of growth, teamwork, betrayal, and survival in a harsh mountain environment.

Your motley crew brings their own unique strengths and weaknesses to the table (plus Francis, who seems to sprint everywhere), and time management becomes crucial as tasks pile up. You'll need to conduct rescues and deliver supplies using realistic alpine vehicles, expand the resort beyond the main building, and strategically design interiors to attract thrill-seeking climbers. There's also a dog named Brutus, whose kindness has yet to be confirmed. For those less interested in the story, the Endless Winter mode relieves the pressure of the plot while keeping the team together. It's a casual indie strategy game that combines a cozy mountain atmosphere with the stress of keeping everyone alive and your business thriving.
