Gate Guardian challenges you to defend a mystical gate from relentless waves of shadow creatures in a unique blend of tower defense, strategy, and RPG survival. Developed by Dmitriy Zakharov and Andrey Zakharov, and published by Andrey Zakharov for release in 2026, this strategy RPG tower defense survival game puts you in command of a small group of heroes. You must build defensive structures, manage limited resources, and level up your characters between battles. The latest version of the game introduces a roguelite progression system where each failed run rewards you with permanent upgrades, making subsequent attempts more manageable.

Tower defense mechanics include a variety of towers such as archer posts, magic orbs, and barricades, each upgradeable with resources earned during combat. RPG elements let you recruit and level heroes with unique abilities, from a paladin who shields allies to a ranger who poisons enemies. Strategy comes from deciding where to place your towers and which hero abilities to activate during critical moments. Survival is about managing your gate’s health, repairing damage between waves, and deciding when to retreat to heal.
