Mechanics. The action in The Beast Inside for PC / Windows is presented from a first-person perspective. During the game, players take on the role of two characters — Adam and Nicholas. This allows players to learn about events that occurred in different periods, and to study two versions of the same places. The developers of The Beast Inside for PC / Windows have prepared several different places within the semi-open world. Places include the protagonist’s house, swamps and an abandoned hotel. As a horror game, places are usually dark and filled with unpleasant surprises. Sometimes objects begin to move independently, ghosts can appear in front of the player, and enemies can attack at any time. Enemies can be fought in several ways. The main ones hide or slip away. You can also shoot them with a revolver, although ammunition stocks are always low. Because of this, it is better to use the player environment.

The gameplay is not limited to reconnaissance and combat. Players may encounter various challenges during the adventure. This includes safe cracks. They force players to explore every corner of the place in search of old letters that may indicate a solution.

Technical aspects. The Beast Inside was developed using Unreal Engine 4. Together with photogrammetry, this provides high-quality graphics, which at times may seem photorealistic.
