Warnament is a turn-based global strategy game that puts the player in charge of the destiny of an entire nation. Progress is achieved by conquering new territories and steadily developing in the military, technological, cultural or political spheres. It is possible to take part in historical scenarios or create completely original worlds using the built-in editor.

This approach opens the way to campaigns based on real events or to alternative universes of your own design, where each province is governed separately. The global arena in Warnament is shaped by complex diplomacy and the intricacies of statecraft. Rulers declare wars, sign peace treaties, and also enter into pacts and create alliances with other world powers. An individual nation can guarantee the sovereignty of an allied state or forcefully turn another into its vassal.

Economic pressure is applied through the mechanisms of world trade or strangling rivals with sanctions, while allies can be drawn into large-scale international conflicts. Among other things, opponents can be showered with direct insults. The military can include a wide range of units, from infantry to nuclear bombs for total annihilation of the enemy. Fleets of cruisers, battleships and aircraft carriers establish supremacy on the seas, while defensive fortresses protect the homeland. The player has the ability to deploy chemical weapons, acting outside the generally accepted laws of war.
