Sushi Ben introduces the seaside town of Kotobuki, where large developers are systematically buying up property. The main goal is to unite the residents to resist the aggressive takeover. The player assumes the role of a newcomer tasked with rallying the local population. Their efforts focus on protecting their favorite sushi bar from closure under pressure from outside forces. This story-driven adventure is designed for single-player play from a first-person perspective.

The gameplay combines story development with a variety of activities. The player interacts with the environment and its inhabitants through minigames such as fishing, archery, and dog walking. The narrative unfolds through interactive 3D manga panels that animate key moments. Dialogue from all characters is fully voiced, furthering the story and building relationships with the town's residents.
