A shortage of action points forces players to find a balance between attacking and positioning their units. Achieving superiority over 60 enemy types is ensured by a formidable arsenal. The available inventory includes 300 skills, 290 items, and 170 artifacts. Pinpoint critical strikes can paralyze enemy buffs. Difficulty scales across 10 valor levels, turning battles into a brutal challenge.

The story revolves around Alistair, an avatar of destruction for the weary Death. His mission is to plunge the world into chaos to stop the Unending Cycle across three narrative acts. The death of your wards doesn't mean the end of the story; it merely unlocks powerful equipment. To realize your plan in Valor of Man, you'll need to assemble a squad of four mercenaries representing 12 unique professions. Expeditions are structured around a network of forks, offering a life-saving stop or a sudden ambush. The tabletop rules dictate strict survival requirements.
