YAPYAP is a first-person co-op horror game where traditional roles are inverted, with the heroes taking over as the mischievous minions of a powerful mage. A group of up to six sorcerers must infiltrate their rival's tower with the sole purpose of wreaking havoc. The sabotage process is complicated by the constant presence of terrifying magical creatures patrolling the corridors and rooms. The key mechanic is a spellcasting system where spells are cast by speaking their formulas into a microphone. The success of spells depends directly on the clarity of your enunciation, adding to the tension in critical moments when maintaining composure is essential.

The main objective in YAPYAP is to complete sabotage missions and accumulate vandalism points before successfully evacuating. Achieving objectives requires coordinated teamwork, where stealth and distraction are key to survival. Direct confrontations with the tower's guards are deadly, so the only correct solution upon detection is flight. An arsenal of magical abilities offers ample opportunities for creative destruction and unconventional problem solving.
