About The Game

The Legend of Khiimori, as a logistics simulator, eschews the interface in favor of visual cues. A mount's condition is indicated through its animations. Wind noise affects arrow flight and smoke signals. Breeding mechanics allow crossbreeding, imparting endurance for river crossings to the offspring. Hoof trimming and wound treatment complicate mounted journeys. Having mastered this skill, protagonist Nara becomes a courier for the Yam postal service. Predator attacks require a purely tactical retreat.

Message delivery takes place across the vast expanses of thirteenth-century Mongolia. The focus shifts from conquest to maintaining ties between tribes. Long-range equipment is used for hunting, reflecting the peaceful craft of a messenger. Conquering snow-capped peaks depends on the horse's control scheme, which ranges from arcade-style to realistic. Each expedition forces you to weigh the risks when planning your route. Integrating nomadic philosophy, The Legend of Khiimori allows you to customize the severity of the world. This versatility is achieved through several built-in presets.
